Through the Eyes of a Woman Paintings Exhibition by Aida Bahtanović was held from Friday, August 30, to Tuesday, September 3, 2024, in Hanikah in Sarajevo (at Sarači 49).

The authoress presented her eight-year-old artistic work, which she dedicated to the experiences of women, shown through time that brought them both struggles and successes. According to the authoress, she was inspired by her childhood memories and acquaintances with women in her family and beyond, and by the time she spent with them. Therefore, various aspects of women’s life found their way to the paintings in which the authoress tried to show the strength of women, downfalls, challenges – in fact, the everyday life that women live.

The most common motif in the pictures was dresses on which women’s lives are woven. In fact, they bring a woman’s experience of life.

The exhibition was made with the aim of promoting women’s rights, solidarity, equality and non-violence, and the reaction the authored hoped for from the audience was that they will feel the strength of women.
