On Friday, March 22, 2024, the TPO Foundation from Sarajevo, the Center for Human Rights and the University Gender Resource Center of the University of Sarajevo organized a panel on the topic of introducing femicide into the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Criminal Code of FBiH.

The following persons participated as panelists:

• Dr. Alma Kratina, Chairperson of the Commission for Gender Equality of the FBiH Parliament,
• Dr. Amila Mujcinovic, lawyer,
• Academician Prof. Dr. Nedzad Korajlic and
• Dr. Nermin Šehović, Doctor of legal sciences and specialist in criminal law.

The panel was moderated by mr. Miroslav Zivanović.

We are glad that a large number of students from the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Political Sciences in Sarajevo attended.

We saw this panel as an exceptional opportunity to create synergy, also, for further joint actions and cooperation between representatives of the legislative authority, on the one hand, and representatives of the academic community and non-governmental organizations, on the other, regarding the topics of violence prevention and additional legal regulation issues of gender-based violence.
