At the International University of Travnik in Travnik, as part of the UNIGEM project, the campaign “16 days of activism against gender-based violence” was celebrated again this year. Six workshops were held for the students of the International University of Travnik in Travnik.
The leaders of the workshops were:
1. Šejla Džanan, Ph.D. – “The role of women in the family and society in the context of gender equality” and “Family violence, violence between couples”,
2. Kornelija Nikačević, MA – “Gender equality – stereotypes and prejudices”,
3. prof. Ivan Balta, Ph.D. – “Prejudices of the past and visions of the future – about gender and sex inequality in society”
4. prof. Halid Ganija, Ph.D. – “Femicide as a social problem”.
The goal of the held workshops and through education is to influence the development of students’ awareness of the position of women and the power they possess by performing multiple social roles. Encourage equality and partnerships in all segments of social, family, business and political activity of women as individuals and through discussion and understanding with individual understanding and creation of their personal relationship to the topic.
