Do we have the courage to question our own beliefs, worldviews, and practices? Do we have the strength to stand up against the structural violence perpetrated by patriarchal institutions, both secular and religious? Are we willing to listen to a different perspective and allow different opinions to be respected—even if we don’t agree with them? Are we ready to respect human freedom and the right of individuals to believe or not believe, to question, doubt, and seek answers? Can one be a feminist and a believer?
If the answer to these questions is positive, then we recommend that you sign up for the first online FER School: Feminism and Religion. The FER School is intended for women and men who want to academically examine their beliefs, attitudes, knowledge, and practices regarding human rights and freedoms, and who want to explore how gender stereotypes shape the lives of women and men in the family and society.
The goal of the FER School is to understand, through online lectures and discussions, how gender stereotypes affect the lives of women and men, why they are still justified by religion and some scientific research, and to offer egalitarian models of gender relations.
The FER School is FREE, and the courses this semester are open to everyone regardless of educational level and do not require preparation or writing papers, but regular and active participation.
In the summer semester of the FER School (March 25 to May 28, 2024), we offer five courses at the following times:
Feminism: An Absolute Curse Monday, 18:00 – 19:30

You can enroll in all courses or only some of them.
