On the occasion of International Women’s Day, an inspiring workshop titled “Are You Afraid of Witches?” was held, marking the beginning of a series aimed at exploring the historical and societal portrayal of witches. Led by Nidžara Ahmetašević, a prominent journalist and researcher from Sarajevo, the workshop delved into the complex development of the witch myth and its implications for women throughout history.

Nidžara Ahmetašević explored the historical portrayal of witches, shedding light on the socio-political contexts that led to the demonization of women as witches. She emphasized the interconnectedness of gender, power, and fear that underpinned the persecution of women accused of witchcraft.
